Remote Control Presentation Transcript:
1. ADVANCED REMOTE CONTROL BASED ON PIC

2. APPLICATION PROBLEMS:
Remote Controls available now a days cannot be precisely operated on multiple channels.
According to the requirement user’s priorities change towards remote access.
There are some limitations that must be included in designing a remote control using conventional integrated circuits.

3. SOLUTIONS AVAILABLE:
There are many remote control units are available in the market. But still some problems we are facing for ease of usage:
The remote control for multiple channel access are costly.
For some applications their working collapses.
There is no provision of reprogramming.

4. SOLUTIONS THAT CAN BE PROVIDED:
Making the use of PIC and HOLTEK IC we can make the circuit more dynamic for reliable operation.
The device we are designing can be implemented on grass root level such as for household utilities. According to the user’s requirement we can change the working of device after implementing some little programming logic.

5. ABOUT THE PIC
PIC is the name for the Microchip microcontroller (MCU) family, consisting of a microprocessor, I/O ports, timer(s) and other internal, integrated hardware. The main advantages of using the PIC are low external part count, a wide range of chip sizes (now from 5-pin up!) available, nice choice of compilers (assembly, C, BASIC, etc.) good wealth of example/tutorial source code and easy programming. Once bought, the PIC's program memory is empty, and needs to be programmed with code (usually HEX files) to be usable in a circuit.

6. HARDWARE REQUIRED:
For Transmitter section:
COMPONENT VALUE QUANTITY
IC HT-12E 1
Tx antenna module 1
Capacitor 1000microF 1
Resistor 1K 5
 680K 1
Switches 4
 Diode 1N4007 4

7. SOFTWARE SECTION:
In the software section we are using the basic C programming to program PIC 16f72.
This PIC is programmed such as it can latch the output until next signal is given to the receiver.
Over a period if the reliability of the project varies then we can use the simple modification to replace the same type of PIC with different programming logic.

8. APPLICATIONS:
For household utilities. For controlling heavy machines. In many low cost applications.

9. OUR FOCUS:
We are focusing on multiple device controlling with this project assuming as our minor work. Further we are trying to complete the whole project within the time bound and for successful execution of the entire circuit. The range of the remote may be such that it can cover the area about 60 to 70 meters, the range of the remote can further be increased for industrial purpose.
