 1.DEFINITION

 An audio visual aid is an instructional device in which the message can be heard as well as seen.
Audio visual aids are the devices which can be used to make the learning experience more concrete ,more realistic & more dynamic.

  • Legal aspect should be considered in production & utilization of educational communication media.
  • Budget appropriation should be made regularly for the AV aids.

  • The material should be appropriate to the learner according to age or intelligence level.
  • Physical condition of the material should be satisfactory.
  • It should arouse critical thinking in the learner mind.
  • It should have the ability to improve human relationship.
  • It should have worth with time & efforts involved.
  • It should be able to develop positive interest in the learner.

Learning is a process of acquiring knowledge , skills, habits or tendencies through experience, practice or exercise.

“Learning is the process of progressive behavior adaptation”.

3.CHARACTERISTICS OF LEARNING
  • LEARNING IS A GROWTH:- Learning is a continuous process. This growth implies both physical as well as mental development of learner.
  • LEARNING IS ADJUSTMENT:-Learning enables the individual to adjust himself properly ,with new situation.
  • LEARNING IS SOCIAL:- Learning take place in response to the environment in which there are other individuals as well as physical things.

  1. IDATIONAL LEARNING:-Term used to describe the product of knowledge , and understanding and more specifically facts, concepts , meanings, generalization and principle.
  2. SKILL LEARNING:-For skilled performance, factor considered , strength , reaction time, speed , precision and flexibility.
